UNV Nepal

How to become a UN Volunteer

National UN Volunteers

National UN Volunteers serve in their own country within a UN organization.

Would you like to contribute to Nepal and work with others like yourself who have a desire to accelerate Nepal’s development? As a national UN Volunteer serving with a United Nations agency you will make a positive impact on your homeland while working alongside people from around the world, including international volunteers and other United Nations professionals.

Some of our vacancies are announced on UNDP Nepal’s website: http://bit.ly/2efazg4.

International UN Volunteers

You can register your profile in our Global Talent Pool. Profiles from the Talent Pool are then matched with assignments offered by UN partner agencies. Approximately 2,000 assignments become available per year. Most assignments are filled through the Global Talent Pool without being advertised. Only special calls for assignments in highly specialized areas or in high demand are advertised via this website (scroll down the page.)

Online UN Volunteers

UNV’s Online Volunteering (OV) service connects development organizations and volunteers over the Internet and supports their effective online collaboration.

It gives development organizations access to a broader pool of knowledge and resources to enhance their capacities, while it offers individuals worldwide additional opportunities to volunteer for development and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
